Alright, Who Pooped in My Salad?!

Seriously guys, I went though all the trouble of making a salad for lunch today and when it came time I opened up my Tupperware to find ten good-sized pebbles of dookie sitting right in the center of my salad. It would actually take a pretty accurate dumper to plop them right in the center like that.

Oh wait, you know what? Those are just some purple fingerling potatoes I picked up at the Green City Market last weekend. We roasted some last night with some garlic and onions for dinner and I threw the leftovers in with my salad this morning. I don't think I was quite awake yet. Either way they were good.

Vegetarian Platter from Reza's

My co-worker, Jen walked into the lunchroom with some leftovers from Reza's up in Andersonville the other day. She only had some rice and falafel left, and the falafel was covered with a mysterious brown sauce, but judging by her report, the plate tasted great. As you can see though, it looked like two healthy dollops of doo-doo placed oh so delicately in a pile of herb- kissed rice.

Amy's Spicy Chili

Imagine how happy I was to discover that Amy's Spicy Chili is vegan. Now, imagine how happy I was to discover it looked like the runs. I've had my fair share of food that looks like poop, but this chili looked so gross I'll def be running back for seconds.

Chicken Sausage, Fava Bean Puree, and Morels

This was a great meal Jill and I made this past spring while the morels were in season. It was chicken sausage from Holzkopf Meat Market on Broadway, fava bean puree and fresh peas. If I were to poo something that looked like peas I'd be a little freaked, but if I pooped something that looked like the sausage, morels or fava beans, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Weenies wrapped in bacon

OK, I've never shit toothpicks, nor have I ever shit in a tin roaster, but you have to admit that weenies wrapped in bacon looks exactly like little dollops of shit. This picture was taken last winter at the First Annual Bacon Fest 2008 held in Chicago at my apartment. Sure there were all kinds of delicious foods being served that looked vaguely like poo poo, but this one won the prize.
